Strikes, protests and arrests another day in Egypt

Now it became a daily routine to read in the newspapers in Egypt that there is one or even two strikes some where , a protest or two in another place and the usual daily arrests for the MB members and students

This week , the tax property collectors strike is a major event , the hugest strike in front of the prime ministry down town is the biggest one for employees working in the governmental sector. The strike include employees from all over the country men and women ,who are till now staying staying in the floor

For three days till now the strike has not finished yet ,already the employees have threatened if their simple demands of raising their salaries are not met they will head to the presidential palace

By the way check this wonderful report for our Famous Baheyya about the strike with photos

Well I know how it will end the Presidential intervention will come in the last moment to save the day before the Eid and order the government to raise the salaries

Already if you know how much those collectors take monthly you will be shocked to know that it is not more than 200 L.E !!

Ironically I saw some representatives speaking on Dream TV 2 from couple of days , one of them said that it was not a strike organized by Muslim Brotherhood before anyone would say so because most of the employees are Christians !! "You see in the previous strikes the government and its official media blamed and accused the MB of being behind them in order destabilize the country !!"

To the protests , the protests are in the Cairo university , now it is the professors themselves ,who do not like the security and governmental intervention to the fact that several university professor are arrested whether from the MB or from the activists like Dr. Laila Swaif

To arrests , the regime is continuing arresting more MB members across the country !!

It is just another day in Egypt

  1. I wonder if they will have enough room in their jails for all of the MB members and their sympathesizers. I'm not a fan of the MB but they are entitled to their views.

    Your government is running scared probably because it knows that it's time is running up. Jimmy and friends won't be able to keep that lid on the boiling pot that is Egypt for much longer! And Daddy dearest is on his last legs! Stay tuned!

  3. @anonymous,you do not have to wonder ,if you got to Alexandria through the desert road you can see the Prison complex in the way , it is so huge and they are building more prisons there

    Already I am not a fan of MB still I am like you
    I do not if they are running scared because they feel that Jimmy won't get or they are doing to so to pave the way in a calculated move
    I wish the first because it brings hope

    @Seg.

  4. Strangely I did see this prison on the way to Alexandria. It is massive. I thought it was just an ordinary prison used to house thieves, murderers, rapists and other everyday criminals.

    I wonder how many people they will put in jail in order to feel like they are in control. Really the moment they feel they are in control is the moment they are not.
