Peace Starts With them , Peace Starts With The Palestinian Refugees

The UNRWA has launched a wonderful campaign called “Peace starts Here” in an attempt to remind the world with the Palestinian refugees agony by presenting short clips about 15 lives in 15 refugee camps.
UNRWA : Peace starts here
I do not know if I am mistaken or not but the Palestinian refugees are the only refugees in the world since 1940s whose agony has not ended yet , yes there are refugees in Africa , Asia and the Balkans whose are still living in camps in terrible inhuman conditions waiting to return back home or even starts a life in some where else but their agony is not like the Palestinian refugees whose right to return is being comprised and is being forgotten !!
Peace starts with them
There are Palestinian refugees who were born and died in the refugees camps , there are Palestinian elders who still remember the Old Palestine pre-1948 with its Arab villages and towns , who have their old houses keys. They know that these keys are more of a symbol than actual keys ,these keys will not open any door because all the Palestinian doors were destroyed. There are less older Palestinians from 1967 refugees who still remember who they were forced to leave their villages and houses in that bloody month of June 1967.
These Palestinians has no place in the world except their own country , Palestine whether Israel likes or not , their home is in the Palestinian State not in Sinai not in Lebanon.
If Israel goes back as it should according to resolution 242 to pre-1967 borders ,there will be enough land for everyone.

  1. I think the refugees problem is the most complicated one among whole the Palestinian situation, but not the most important either...

The final solution to this long-run misery, can be summarized in two demands (in my opinion)
    - first, Jerusalem ... as the capital (the real capital) of Palestine. where Jews turn it upside down from Islamic medieval culture into Jewish Zionist town.
    - Second, the Naqb Desert.. this vast desert that separates Egypt from Jordan, and also separates the Western bank from Gaza. i think its the most strategic hotspot in whole land of Palestine.

  2. UNRWA itself is a joke. It's very existence is a clear indication of the failure of the UN organisation and its UNHCR.

When war or political conflicts break resulting in the relocation of people. i.e. causing refugees, those are immediately identified, issued cards from the UNHCR in whatever buffer zone or UNHCR controlled camps for the specific reason of returning them again to their original land and their homes. This always happens with any refugee situation, regardless of the UNHCR actually succeeds in returning those refugeees or how long it takes.. that is not the point

With the Palestinian crises , the UN decided to create a special body specific for Palestinian refugees. Unlike UNHCR, UNRWA's mission and ultimate goal isn't to secure the return of Palestinians to their legitimate land as identified in the UNHCR covenant. The UNRWA was created to provide jobs and development of the Palestinian refugees in their refugee camps and never mentions-not even once- their legal right to return to their stolen land. In few words, the UNRWA itself a UN body is in violation of the UN resolutions.

The very obvious reason, they had the Palestinians registered through UNRWA and not through UNHCR is because a refugee as an UNHCR registrant can demand and has full right to return to his land and if the UNHCR can't secure and work on his/her return, that refugee can even sue the UNHCR because it has failed to provide him protection to return to his country. This could have never been allowed for Palestinians and therefore a bogus organisation was created just to make sure they do not register with UNHCR and ask for their full rights in returning to their homeland. Everything that the UNRWA offers to Palestinians in their camps like schools, food etc could have still been provided by the UNHCR except for one thing which is UNHCR's clear goal of returning the refugees which isn't stated in UNRWA' covenant.

  3. Z.. Go there to understand why UNRWA was created and how it relentlessly prevents Palestinian refugees from registering with UNHCR and how the UNHCR violates Palestinian refugees rights in countries where there is no UNRWA offices(like Egypt)

  4. if what you say is correct, and the Palestinians should go to the territories that were occupied in 1967, what was the original goal of the PLO, that was established in 1964? it was three years before 1967. if only the Palestinian leaders would not have lied to everyone... they don't wish to live in peace with Israel, but conquer each city and part, and thus Israel will cease to exist.
that is no solution and that is no peace.

  5. 1967 has nothing to do with Palestinian refugees who were expelled and forced into exodus after 1948. This is not a PLO issue. This has nothing to do with the peace process or the 2-state solution.

The UNHCR and UNRWA do not provide protection to Palestinian refugees unlike any other refugees, they are discriminated and are non granted their first right of return. Why are they any different from any other refugees from any part of the world?

Refugees are not a military body to judge their intentions to live in peace in Isreal, if they are returned to their original STOLEN homes and lands, not a single returned refugee will give a rat's arse what that state will be called be it Palestine or Isreal or Wackoland.

As refugees they have every single right- if they so wish- to return to their homes and its UNHCR responsibility to protect and execute that right.

I suggest you do a thorough reading in UNHCR covenants because obviously you know absolutely nothing of human and refugee rights declared by the 1952 Geneva convention.

The question here isn't about the establishment of Isreal or the declaration of a state of Palestine and is n't related to a peace process or peace negotiations. The questions are:

1-are those refugees entitled by UN resolutions and Internation law to return to their land?

2-is Isreal in violation of International law by denying those refugees their right of return?

3- is the UNHCR and subsequentely the UNRWA complicit in violating those refugees rights by not providing them protection, demanding and securing their legitimate right of return JUST LIKE ANY OTHER REFUGEE, regardless of the peace progress?

4- does the PLO or any other non-UN body have rights to negotiate the political status of Palestinian refugees or bargain with their rights which are protected by International resolutions?

Everybody knows the answers to those questions, this is not a debatable matter to claim what is correct and what is false..that brings us to the ultimate question:

Are Palestinian refugees less than humans as not to deserve be treated EQUALLY with all other refugees?

  6. @anonymous#1 the Palestinian refugees issues are connected to the land issue , if you can restore back this land their problem will be solved

@anonymous#2 and #3 thanks for opening our eyes , I did not know what you said about the UNRWA

@anonymous#4 and what brought the PLO in to the discussion !!??

    @anonymous#5 , good questions

  7. And on what basis did you decide that the plight of Asian or African refugees is less important than that of Palestinian refugees? You don't know why they were expelled and why they can't come back, but they also have their own memories and dreams, mind you. Also, there is a question of Jewish refugees that were expelled from Arab countries in 1948 - they were forced to leave in 24-48 hours with minimal belongings and stripped of all their rights. Does the world thinks or cares about them? No and no!

  9. Israel has complied with the wording of 242 in English.

Furthermore, in Lebanon, Palestinians are in awful refugee camps for ever and they are not allowed to practice law, medecine or engineering.

Is this the fault of the devil jews too?
